How do switch my news screen from samsung news to another news platform on samsung galaxy A12 on android 12

On the homescreen, pinch out or long press on an open space. Then Swipe to the far left to select between samsung news or Google discover. Not many options... you may find better luck with a 3rd party launcher

We are long past OneUI3.  It's a Samsung phone, naturally they will favor their own news app.  I'm pretty sure their news app is much like Readers Digest - they source news from various feeds and don't have their own news service.  You are free to download a different news app that meets your sensibilities, but you won't be able to use it on the news screen.  You can, however, disable the swipe right for the news.  In the Samsung News app, you can go to settings and choose your news sources and topics you want to see in your feed.

It makes no sense to be available on One Ui 3 remove it in One Ui 4 and bring it back in One Ui 5

It makes sense. It is not even available anymore in OneUI6.1. Only Google Discover is available.
Things change. These days people want to choose their own biased or unbiased news sources, so it makes no sense to keep the screen.

I have the option to change it in settings but it only shows samsung news

You open the News app, then tap the 3 dot menu to go to the app settings, scroll down to manage news sources and choose your sources.

That's the sources within samsung news I don't want to use samsung news when I swipe to the media page
