My A02 is saying it isn't compatible with the health app.

Was the health app pre-installed on your phone? If it was, it should be compatible.

I see the A02 is a basic phone at the low end of the A series, so it may not, indeed, be compatible with the health app. This phone was released in 2021, have you just obtained it?

It was not. It was purchased for the sole purpose of using her galaxy ring. The wearable app works fine. The health app says it's not compatible. Samsungs compatibility says it works with A02s.

That phone will not even run the latest OneUI and the Android version would be at least 2 versions old. So, the app is probably not compatible with the health app. If it's not compatible, there is no workaround.

The requirement said Android 11 or higher, which it is. That's why I'm confused.

Usually when an app such as the Health app is compatible, it is included with the basic software. Since you bought the phone for the specific purpose of compatibility with the ring and you probably have not put anything of importance on it yet, you might try factory resetting it and trying again to install the app. It may be that it's incompatible with the latest version of the health app, and at the time the phone was manufactured, the health app was compatible. They added a bunch of new features, and one of those features just may have been compatibility with the ring. Even if you were able to find and install an older version of the app, it probably would not have compatibility with the ring, since it wasn't invented yet at the time the older versions were active. Sorry, I think you defeated yourself on this one. If you have an option to return the device, you might want to consider doing so and purchasing the A15.
