I have a Samsung Galaxy AO3s (very low end smart phone). When I'm on the phone and I get an incoming call there seem to be no clicks. The screen goes black very soon into the calls so I wouldn't see a visual notice. I press whatever to get the screen lit again but it keeps going black quickly.

I tried all the settings. That hasn't helped so far. The phone app and other softwares have been updated multiple times while this has gone on, but I'm open to whatever you might say.

1. How could I fix this?
2. What notice, if any, do your Samsung smartphones give of incoming calls while you are on the phone? Could you tell me what model phone? If not, the approximate type or price range?
3. Is there a way for my phone not to go black at all during a call?

Thank you.

Hi Tamarind, welcome to the Community, and thank you for reaching out. I can definitely see the inconvenience of not having notice of incoming calls. If your phone or tablet is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe mode feature. In Safe mode, your device won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identify and remove the app that may be causing the problem: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

If the incoming calls still don't show up under Safe Mode, it may be time to try a factory reset. Follow the guide carefully, and back up everything you do not wish to lose, such as files and data: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options: 1.
