I currently have the Samsung A13 and I am wondering if there is a way to only allow calls and texts from my contacts list only? My Aunt has an iPhone and her phone is setup that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, but it seems like a Apple-exclusive feature.

You can try the 'Do not disturb' option. You allow the people you want. It's not the same as apple, but I'm sure that would work for you somehow.

Thanks for the information. I am wondering also why when I block a number the call still comes through and they can still leave a voice-mail? I spoke to customer service and they told me they didn't know why. I told them if I block a phone number it's for a reason not just to keep me from being bored. I used the example if I am being harassed or receiving calls from someone who molested me when I was a child the phone calls should not come thru at all and leave me threatening voice-mail. What's the purpose of blocking a number?

Yor carrier would have blocking tools for that. Blocking from the carrier side, the calls never get to your phone. If you block from the phone, the call get through to the phone and when the sigtware rejects it, it goes to your voicemail. Most carriers have spam contol in their apps or in your account on their website. Even if they don't have user controlled blocking, they can block specific numbers or unlnown callers.

Carriers cannot block specific calls for anyone. They would have to monitor your phone activity 24/7 and that's not legal. They do, however, usually offer an app that helps reduce the number of spam calls.

They can if you know the number. As matter of fact, they have to upon request. And, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but every call going to or coming from your phone has been logged since telephone bills were invented. Again, if your carrier has an app or website where you can access your account, they have blocking tools you can set youself. I have T-Mobile and I can use spam blocking from the app, much the same way as the phone settings. The difference being that when it's done from the carrier side, the calls never come to the phone or voicemail box.

I've been working for a carrier for over 10 years and I'm telling you, no we can't.

Believe that if you want, but you are wrong. If they can give you the tools in an app, they can do it themselves. About 30 years ago a law was passed (not sure if it was state or federal) that telcos had to block numbers on request. Some charged for the setvice, but it was available.

Go to settings, notifications, do not disturb and then you can customize it from there.
