My s20+ broke. Screen is on but touch does not take. I got another S20+. Transfered the sim card. But how do I get old data from that phone to the new? I don't seem to have access to that phone's data? Nor the transfer data app.

I assume it is all there because it's in that phone's hard drive,  right? It only had 1 removable card and i assume it was the SIM card.

Thanks.

If you have access to a PC or laptop and you're able to unlock the older phone you can copy and paste the files from the older device to the new one that way with the USB cable.

You have to unlock the phone first for it to come up. Are you able to do that despite the screen not working. Did you use face unlock as a way to unlock it?

I never set any locking on it. I would just plug it in and it would come up.

There is no way to do anything with touch-screen.  I can't even turn it off.

Oh so normally you would just swipe the screen and it will "unlock" without a password or pin or anything?
