Why can I not move my apps to my SD card and run them from there? I quickly have filledup my allotted 64g on the phone and bought a 512G SD card, that is pretty much useless. I remember when this wasn't a problem, but the system itself is so bloated with apps I'll never use that the 64g stock is never enough. Now, I can move some apps to the card but android file system does not have write permission to the card, so there is hardly anything I can do with all that space. Just send kind of limiting to not be able to use the space as it was meant to be used. Why make an SD card slot if all you can do is store pictures. Slim down all the bloatware and it wouldn't be a problem.

No, the ones that are preinstalled won't move. But I can't seem to get write permission for others. I have some very big apps, but what happens is that the app will move over but the data needed to run it will remain in the system side of storage. As a result I have about 500G of storage on one side and I'm full on the stock side. This didn't used to be an issue before, I'm guessing I'll probably need to root my phone in order to get the permissions I need. Was just really wanting to avoid that this time.

Android disabled the ability to format an SD card as a hard drive, consequently apps will not run off of one. This has been rhis way for at least 5 years, probably longer. SD cards can only be used for data.
