Samsung Internet will not download APK's

my internet app wich i've used for years on other phones too(all samsung) suddenly camt download an apk from apk mirror but chrome does..even reading manga or loading images.it takes too long.but i try fb,insta,youtube(all on browser but work ok...even chrome does fine for all the forementioned issues wich is driving me crazy..it takes for a 50mb file download like 10min....i've tried deleting the app,restarting the device,i dont have vpn on or dns so idk why this is happening tbh..Pls help

Why download an apk from a bootleg site? Why not just download it from the Galaxy store?  If you are using an older version, it may no longer be compatible with the newer updates.

i downloaded from apkmirror bcz the newer versions removed the qr code reader from the app...okk but as i said in the post,it works ok on all other sites,just on mpark specifically that struggles(wich never did before)

The phone itself has a QR code reader, no need for one in the app. The newer phones have new software and may render older versions incompatible. Download the new version and just use the phone's QR scanner if you need that function.

i know the camera has it..but the internet's qr reader it was perfect..i mean if i'm already using the app for whatever and i need to read the code it was a step less to do for me..but thanks anyway i'll try to "fix it" myself anyway...i use thr older version of apps for many reasons,memory,less useless features...its just me but i like tbi current version that i have more than the newer one,...domt get me started on the appperance of new speed dial with 4 icons like app launcher(horrible) ..it was more functional on 5

If an app is incompatible, you cannot make it compatible. An older version is also an insecure version.

on all the phones i've used so far in 10 yrs(all samsung & all on older ver. of apps,never latest) i have never encountered security,speed or incompatability issues...ofc i know that now after android 14 this this is more forced...but as i said before,everytime they update they tend to make the apps dumber imo,more useless features etc...example gallery app...now if a new album is created u cant see it by default,u have to dig it out...anyway not gonna take anymore of ur time sorry...the problem smh resolved by itself now,3-4 hrs ago..now it works fine..thank u for ur advice here,appreciate it 🙂
