Good Afternoon @user4U8Sl1QZs6

I am sorry that you are experiencing some issues with the Settings app.  I would like to try a couple of troubleshooting steps to get your isse resolved, but first what type of device are you using?

@user4U8Sl1QZs6

Copy! So with the Galaxy A8 I would like for you to try this troubleshooting step first.  We are going to Wipe the Cache/Partition on your device to see if this clears up your issue.  Please follow steps listed below:

How to hard reset on Samsung Galaxy A8 using hardware buttons

  1. Create a backup of your personal data and remove your Google account.
  2. Turn off the device.
  3. Press and hold the Volume up button, the Power button and the Home button at the same time.
  4. When you feel the device vibrate, release ONLY the Power button.
  5. A screen menu will now appear. When you see this, release the remaining buttons.
  6. Use the Volume down button until you are highlighting ‘Wipe Cache/Partition. Press the Power button to select.
  7. Press the Power button again to select the Yes .
  8. Press the Power button to highlight, then select the ‘reboot’ option

Please let me know if this helps.

@Prof1 I tried it but the a8 2018 does not have a home button.

I did turn off my phone and booted it up while pressing the power button and the volume up button but the screen menu you mentioned didn't appear.Instead a "Download custom OS" menu appeared
