Updating Firmware stopped for Grand Neo?

Why Samsung stop giving updates to their old galaxy mobile phone. What is the main reason behind it? Can anyone elaborate?
I'm using Galaxy Grand Neo although it's an old phone at least give some security patch.

This is normal for any company. if your phone is that old then you can root it and install a custom rom with new updates or other fun stuff

define old because I have an S8 laying around the house which is 4 years old and it's latest update was September 2020.

you're talking about a phone from 2014!!

if you really want to upgrade that phone, throw it away and get a new one.
