I use the A15 mobile hotspot on Spectrum Mobile (Verizon MVNO) for internet access of various devices at a remote location that I infrequently visit in person. Recently the hotspot changed its IP address range from 192.168.28.x to 192.168.5.x. The SSID is unchanged from what I gave it. This change has caused two of my devices to disconnect from the hotspot and therefore I can no longer control them. Is there an explanation for this change? Is there a way to force it to revert to the prior IP address range?

The mobile hotspot IP range is controlled by your carrier, depending on what tower your phone connects to. If your devices got disconnected, it should be easy enough to reconnect/manually change the device IP address. You should be making this query to your carrier.

Thank you. I will check with Spectrum mobile. They recently changed to 5G in my area, so it is probably related to that.
