A Series & Other MobileWiFi calling still not working as I think it should. I have the phone on airplane with mobile data off and minutes are still being deducted when I use WiFi calling at home. Tracfone, when I can get someone, has been no help. I was on a chat the other day for almost an hour and all the sudden got disconnected. I had give the person a contact number in case we were disconnected, but never go a call back. I appear to have no issues when texting as not texts are being deducted when texting at home. Hoping someone on here has a solution, Tracfone sure does not!

A Series & Other MobileI don't understand why they could not tell me that and then what would be the sense in using WiFi calling. I would like to see where on the website that is.

A Series & Other Mobile"Normally, your phone uses data to send and receive calls and texts. But when you turn on Wi-Fi calling, your phone uses Wi-Fi to do it instead; think of it as a backup plan in case your cell service is slow." I think a statement that can easily be misunderstood. This comes from a Tracfone blog link. Very evident that their customer service people are not properly trained/informed on the subject of WiFi Calling! When on a chat call, the agent kept trying to find out why I was deducted minutes and even restored minuted to my account. One thing that is a positive, on WiFi calling texts that I make are not deducted.

A Series & Other MobileAs @siegfre stated, Tracfone deducts wi-fi minutes from your plan. Which makes sense to me, since a pre-paid plan would have no other way to get funds from a subscriber who only buys the minimum amount of minutes and then stays connected to wi-fi. I would think it would be the same on *any* pre-paid service. Post-paid works differently. On plans that have a limited plan, one can save their minutes by being on wi-fi calling, as they are paying the same monthly amount regardless.
