Fold & Flip PhonesIt's a huge bummer but it's absolutely necessary for your safety. The fold's flashlights are very bright and can burn your vision if it flashes right into your eyes. I found this out the hard way with my iPhone way back when I was a dumb kid, and had a part of my vision burned for half a week.
If you need some light but need in safely, you can use the multi app functionality to your advantage. Open up an app with a completely white screen (such as a blank canvas in a drawing app like PenUp or Krita) and use the white pixels to light up the picture.
This is something I had just thought up right now so I can't guarantee it'll be very effective... but it's something to try at least!
Cheers

Fold & Flip PhonesAfter spending days on this finally found a FIX.
What you can do is enable the Flash while you're on the inner screen and then click on 'Cover screen preview' BUT do not slide-to-unlock the camera options on the cover screen and just use the volume button to click the picture - it clicks with the Flash.
If not a fan of the volume button you can set a 5 sec timer from the inner screen, click the shutter after which you have enough time to turn around and adjust your pose looking at the cover screen.
