Fold & Flip Phones

Hi to anyone who can help,

I have a flip 5 bought new directly from Samsung and had for about a little over 7 months but it has had so many problems for about the past 4 months. Way more than I'd expect for a phone less than a year old.

It started by randomly freezing and being almost impossible to restart when it did this. I could see screen but could not tap anything and then screen would sometimes also go black. Would happen every once in a while.

Now it freezes every week/almost every dag, can't touch anything on screen I either see my screen or see a black screen and have to hold volume and power button to get it to restart.
My phone control option buttons randomly stopped working (flash light, wifi, Bluetooth, notification settings when you swipe down) I cannot click any of them they do not respond to touch. I restart my phone multiple times a day to get them to work and sometimes restarting it once doesn't even fix it.
For some reason my notifications done show up anymore either, I have them turned on I've checked and I see it when I first get it but then when I swipe to look at the notifications the entire thing is empty and says no notifications.
So yeah this phone i was super exited to get i switched from iPhone but I really regret it as this phone has become practically impossible to use.
There's been times when I would need to call someone to get picked up or other situations and I cannot get access to my phone and had to wait for restart because of it's constant freezing and multiple times in a row.
I'm kinda at a loss of what to do, I want to get a new phone but can't because this was a big purchase and I'm financing it.
It's too late for me to be able to return or exchange it and I don't have money right now for repairs.
I'm a little goofed
Any ideas on what to do? Anyone else expirence these problems? I will take any advice 😞
Thank you to those who read this i know it's long sorry
Btw- i don't do any weird downloads or go onto any weird sites that could potentially have viruses i just use my phone to text and look at social media and some random games from the play store.

Hello, Welcome to the Community, and thank you for reaching out. We can understand the frustration of the phone freezing and losing functionality.  Here are some steps that may help: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10001440/

We also recommend clearing the cache partition and repairing apps in the recovery menu.

- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.

@meself has a great suggestion to run the diagnostics in the Members app by selecting the support tab, and submitting an error report to provide feedback to Samsung.

If the phone continues to freeze and restart, it is recommended to have the phone evaluated at an authorized service center. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers near you that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
