After update , phone is nonstop using GPS , getting HOT. I tried removing premises from apps that did not help. So far I was able to figure out to uninstall updates from Google Play Services , then GPS turn on when need it only , as soon I will use weather widget and accept location accuracy then GPS stays on all the time.please get this Fixed ASAP

I have this same issue & I've noticed my battery tends to drop faster than normal. I checked here and reddit to see if it's not a one-off situation. Any news on when this will be fixed?

Ever since updating to one UI 7 the "Phone Services" app is constantly using my location, Google Play Services is also using it almost as much. Neither of these used location access much before. Since I am unable to deny location to those apps I have to keep location off constantly to prevent the battery from draining.

Is there a way to downgrade back to One UI 6.1 while we wait for this to be fixed?

Look for a Google Play System update!
It fixed my battery drain issue on my S25U.
After update, perform a wipe cache partition.

For downgrade you need fresh install the old rom so you need to flush this rom. As Robin mentioned try clearing cach first and update you should fix the issue before even think for downgrade it's hassle.
