Hide content on Lock screen notifications

Hello all. So can anyone tell me how I can just have the icon appear for notifications?

 I have "hide content" selected thinking that this would just allow the icon to show for whatever notification but that apparently isn't it.

On my AOD screen it's just the icons but on the lockscreen its detailed. I'm baffled 🤷‍

In the screenshot you posted, select "dot" or "Icons"

That does turn them on but just puts them on the status bar. I used to have just the icons showing below the clock.

Actually they just stay on the status bar and aren't put below the clock like the image in my previous post.

No longer available, even in LockStar. It is either cards or status bar only.

OK, try this.  Go to your lock screen, long press on it to bring up the wallpaper editor, tap the icon bar under the clock and when the slide up appears, choose "icon only".  Bear in mind that I am not yet in OneUI7.0, so this option may or may not still be available to you.

Yes, this is how I used to do it but now that isnt available that I can see on UI7. There is just a spot to tap and add widgets and the icon option isnt available.

Well, that's just dumb.  Kind of defeats the purpose of lock screen security.  If one wanted everything out in the open on their phone screens, why have a lock screen at all?  There must be something in some setting somewhere - perhaps the function moved to GoodLock/LockStar?

I've searched through goodlock and haven't been able to find anything.

I don't have the new UI yet, but I have the version of GoodLock that works on OneUI7.  When I open Lock Star and turn on the lock screen, the icon bar appears.  Tapping that and then tapping the lower left corner of the widget, I get a menu to change it to/from icons. Maybe it has to be added from there in OneUI7.

Is there a setting in OneUI7 called lockscreen and AOD?  If that setting remains in the new UI, try going to that setting and if lock screen notifications is on, try hide content.  That may return the notification icons to the lock screen.  If that setting is no longer there, and Good Lock has no option for you, perhaps @Robin621k, who actually has the new UI will come along and assist.
