Phone will not charge past 79

Hi, 

Way won't be my fault ph I charge my beyond 79, now I have to have a switched both cord and charger and and nothing now all I know is is since the last 2 updates this has been happening. 

Any one else to and how to fix it?

Hello Maria, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern with the battery not charging past 79.

Try going to Settings>Battery. Do you have Battery Protection toggled on? Is it also set to Maximum? You can tap the setting and change it to Basic and the phone will then charge to 100.
