Fold & Flip PhonesWe have no cell tower close to the house enough to make mobile calls reliable, so I use WiFi calling at home. Recently, calls to the phone just go straight to voicemail without the phone ringing. I've checked other settings, do not disturb is off except overnight, but the only way I can get a call to go through to the phone is by turning WiFi calling off. I have not knowingly changed any settings since I was last able to receive phone calls. I checked with my carrier and turning it off was their suggestion. I thought WiFi calling was just for outgoing calls, so clearly I'm confused.
If WiFi calling has to be off to receive calls, then when WOULD you use WiFi calling? And if I should be able to receive calls with WiFi calling on, what other settings do you recommend I check to see why this might be happening?
Thanks in advance!

Fold & Flip PhonesYou should probably try clearing the cache partition as the first step. To clear the cache partition, do the following:
1. Power off your Galaxy phone by holding down the power and volume down buttons until it reboots. Hold Power and vol up buttons until Samsung Logo appears
2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen. There will be a delay while it enters recovery mode. (you may have to hold the volume up button a half second longer than the power button)
3. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight “Wipe Cache Partition.” Press power button to select this option . Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.
5 .When wiping cache partition is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it . The phone will reboot as normal.
It may take a few tries to get it into recovery mode, as it's a little tricky.
To reset your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection settings (sorry, they are combined and you can't do one without the other), go to settings/general management/reset. Once in the reset section, scroll down to Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings and follow the instructions. Once this is done, you will have to re-establish all your device pairings and re-enter your network SSID settings. You can also reset your mobile network settings, but I don't think that will be necessary. But, since Wi-Fi calling is a carrier feature, it *may* be necessary to do so at some point if other measures fail. If you have a physical SIM card, try taking it out, cleaning it with a soft cloth, and re-seating it. Again, make sure your E-911 information is entered and correct.

Fold & Flip PhonesKey points about receiving calls on Wi-Fi calling:
No extra app needed:
You can receive Wi-Fi calls using your phone's regular dialer, just like a regular cellular call.
Requires Wi-Fi connection:
To receive a call on Wi-Fi calling, your phone needs to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Cellular service still needed:
While you can receive calls over Wi-Fi, you typically still need an active cellular plan with your carrier to use this feature.
Benefits in low signal areas:
This feature is particularly useful in areas with poor cell service, like underground or rural locations.

Fold & Flip PhonesI understand all that, but am still not receiving calls when WiFi calling is turned on, only when it's off. This makes no sense to me.

Fold & Flip PhonesIf either if these do not work, I recommend recontacting your carrier by dialing 611 on your phone, bypassing customer sevice and talking to tech support. Wi-Fi calling is a function of the carrier.

Fold & Flip PhonesThank you, realaud. I did talk to Tech Support with my carrier and it was even someone who has a Fold phone. We went through the reset. In the end, it was the tech who told me to turn off WiFi Calling.
I'd like to try both the reset and cache clearance independently, so if you'd give me a little more guidance on how to do that, I would very much appreciate it. I'm not all that tech savvy with this phone.
Thanks!
