Fold & Flip PhonesHello, We know how frustrating volume controls can be. It sounds like you may have cleared the cache partition of the phone through the recovery mode.
Did you also select the option to repair apps under the recovery menu?

Additional, try resetting the settings of the phone. This will not delete your data, only restore the apps to default.
- Open the Settings app on your phone
- Next, tap General Management
- Now tap Reset
- Tap the Reset all settings option
- Review the info that will show up on the screen and then tap Reset all settings
- If needed, enter your password, your PIN, or your pattern
- Finally, to confirm the action, tap Reset.
