Wi-Fi Sharing no longer under Hotspot settings

The location of this option has moved in the latest update.  Does anyone know where it currently is?

Used to be under hotspot settings, but it's been consistently moving around after updates, I can no longer find the setting location.

I want to share my wifi connection, like I did for five years up until about two months ago.

Same phone, just an update, and now the option is gone.

If you have an active wifi network, why not have those devices connect to that?

Some wifis require a browser for login, like at a hotel, airport lounge, or airplane. It's not even an option for all of my devices.

Also, it's inconvenient to connect each device when I'm only going to be on it for a few hours.

Also annoying that I have to justify why I want a feature that was previously available with the hardware.

Then why did Samsung close the issue by saying I need to check with my carrier?

@userZzlYVFsJnX I think that they thought you were referring to Wifi hotspot. This must enabled on you plan by your carrier.

That is correct. If you go to enable hotspot with Wi-Fi on, a window pops up that says you must enable "wi-fi sharing" or turn off wi-fi. This option commonly changes names and locations and it resets to "disabled" with every update. So I am used to having to spend quite a bit of time looking for it. Nobody, not even Samsung can tell me where this has been moved to, regardless of carrier status. They directed me to a location I remember it being in previously, but its probably been two years since the setting has actually been in that location or called "wi-fi sharing" (despite that being what the phone calls it when you go to turn on hotspot). The person I was speaking to was clearly looking at a non-samsung forum from 2020, that I had already seen.

Someone finally responded with the answer:

1. Open Mobile Hotspot
2. Click on the 'Network Name'. This opens that field for editing, but it also enables an Advanced section at the bottom.
3. Expand the Advanced section to reveal more settings.
4. At the very bottom, see the "Wi-Fi Sharing" toggle.

It's been a month, but just in case, this is where it is on my S23 ultra. 

1. Open Mobile Hotspot

2. Click on the 'Network Name'. This opens that field for editing, but it also enables an Advanced section at the bottom. 

3. Expand the Advanced section to reveal more settings. 

4. At the very bottom, see the "Wi-Fi Sharing" toggle.
