Galaxy BudsHi SCRAMJONES, Thanks for being part of the Community. We understand the concern with the difference in audio, as well as the popping sound.
Are you using the Active Noise Cancelling feature with the earbuds?
a. Open the Wear / Wearable app
b. Under “noise controls,” slide buds icon to the left to Active Noise Cancelling

If this does not help, the earbuds will need to be serviced.
