DeX Pad Netflix screen very small and not expanding on TV screen

I specifically bought the DexPad to play Netflix on my 55" TV screen in a room that we don't have internet. When using the DexPad and my Galaxy Note 8, the Netflix screen is very small on the TV screen and it won't expand to fill the screen. I tried changing the resolution on the TV screen with no success. Any solution on this one?

It worked but for some reason it won't get to 1080p, I think it's 480p.

This solution did, in fact, make Netflix play fullscreen. The issue I have now is that as soon as I try to use my phone while playing Netflix on a TV screen, Netflix pauses as soon as I attempt to return to my phone's homescreen with no option to both play Netflix and use my phone? I don't have this issue with Disney+ or Hulu. 

Please advise.
