Can anyone with a Galaxy Ring tell me if they put their ring in its case and close the lid, does the Ring cut off its Bluetooth connection to their phone? Mine stays connected to my phone even if I put the Ring in its case. Not sure if that is intended or not. I think it could possibly be draining more battery then it needs to since it stays connected with my phone in its case, unless I move out of range.
I would think that, just like any other Bluetooth device, it will stay connected as long as it's in range or manually disconnected. Unless the case is shielded somehow to block the BT, or the ring is programmed to disconnect when removed from your finger - much the same way ear buds disconnect when removed from the ears. Since the ring and phone exchange data, it's possible it stays connected. My watch does not disconnect from the phone when it's removed from my wrist unless I move the phone out of range.
