Hey there @1spiderwoman!

Thanks for reaching out for assistance.

I will be gladly to assist you with helping resolve your automatic date and time concerns on your S9.

First, Let's try clearing the cache on the device. This step will clear any clutter or outdated files, and it will allow the device to run more smoothly.

Follow the these steps below:

1. Turn off your smartphone by pressing the Power button for a couple of seconds.

2. Hold down Volume Up + Bixby + Power key for a few seconds.

3. Let go of all keys if you see the SAMSUNG logo.

4. When Android Robot with "No command" pops up should tap on the screen.

5. In Recovery Mode choose "wipe cache partition". Use Volume keys to scroll down and the Power button to accept it.

6. At the end select "reboot system now" by using the Power button.

Second, booting your device in safe mode. This mode disables all third-party apps from running in the background and will allow you to determine if a third-party app may be causing the symptoms to occur.

Follow the steps below:

    1. First, completely power off the phone or tablet.

    2. Turn on the device and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key.

    3. If done correctly, "Safe mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If "Safe mode" does not appear, repeat the previous steps.

    4. Once you're in Safe mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues.

Start by removing apps that were updated or installed when the problem started.

    5. To exit Safe mode, simply restart your phone or tablet and it will reboot normally. Or, you can tap the Safe mode notification; swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap the Safe mode is on notification. Tap Turn off.

Start Safe mode from the Power menu

If you’re having trouble turning on Safe mode using the previous steps, you can also enable it from the Power menu.

  1. First, press and hold the Side key and the Volume down key at the same time. You can also swipe down from the top of the screen using two fingers, and then tap the Power icon.

  2. Touch and hold the Power off icon.

  3. Tap the Safe mode icon.

If the symptoms don't persist in safe mode, a third-party app may be causing the automatic date and time to keep kicking out. I would recommend deleting each individual third-party app (starting with the most recent) until you no longer experience the symptoms.
