Good evening. I can't understand the following. In previous versions of Android (for example 6.0.1), there was a good application for cleaning the device's memory from garbage (cache) + this application also had other functions. In new versions of the Android OS, there is an optimization application, but there is no longer a function to clean the device's memory from accumulated application garbage. What should I do in this case? My device is SM-G986U1 and I don't know what to clean the device's memory from garbage with. Even the most famous application (for example CCleaner) doesn't really cope with this problem. It may show that 500 MB can be cleaned, but it will clean 350-400. And what should I do now in this case? Wouldn't it be easier to return the memory cleaning function to the optimization application?

I found the same application that I had on my old smartphone, but it won't install on this smartphone. I don't know what the problem is. Maybe there are some limitations at the OS level or maybe the device maintenance application that I have on my smartphone is a new version of that old application. And because of this, it's impossible to install the old version over the new one. But what should I do now, how do I clear the device's memory?

You can go into device care option. And you can reboot into recovery mode to wipe cache

Right, turn off device, then hold power and volume down. Release when you see logo.

You are then in recovery. Use volume keys to navigate, and power to select.
