Car crash dection is a great feature and should be on s series as google and apple has them and those who are scared of false dections could toggle it off. It's simple stuff with using the sensors. Only thing samsung is lacking

I agree, if Samsung really wants to compete they also need to think about safety features as well.

It is absolutely not "simple stuff" as both the Pixel and iPhone have completely unacceptable false detection rates that result in time and money being wasted on a call to emergency services--not to mention it's clogging up the lines for people who need help. The iPhones detection in particular has become a burden on police in areas that have a high false trigger rate, like near amusement parks.

Additionally, the model needs to be trained. Thousands of simulated crashes need to be recorded in order to train the system. You can't just expect the phone to know the difference between a crash or being thrown without training it to know what that is. I would like to see it too, but I'd rather have a good version that works and imo what apple and Google have put on the market is just a beta.

Then it would probably be $2000

Not on my device, however, even though we have earthquake alerts in the latest update.Screenshot_20230519_235138_Settings_1000019589_1684565498.png
