Galaxy S PhonesI have a galaxy s8 plus. When I receive incoming calls from a contact in my phone book only their number displays. But when I go in my recent calls both their name and number is there. Like most people I don't know everyone's phone number so when people are calling me, I don't know who they are until after I miss it. I've already tried restarting my phone. No luck And I checked for a software update. It's up to date.

Galaxy S PhonesI believe in a previous post a few people were saying that it was a Samsung issue that they are still trying to fix.

Galaxy S PhonesHey guys,
Go to your Settings>Applications>Search for an application called "Call Protect".
When you open it, select Force stop.
Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you.

Galaxy S PhonesI was going to disable AT&T Call Protect, but it was already disabled, so I enabled it and that fixed the problem for me. I also have AT&T. I'm not sure what to do if you force stopped it as suggested and it didn't work. Maybe try enabling it again and rebooting your phone. Hope that works for you.
