Galaxy S21I've followed the other posts about Notification categories to set a custom ringtone for Google Voice phone calls. However, it does not exist in my phone. I do have developer options enabled as well, not that it should make any difference. I go to notifications and I only have options for allowing, alerts, types and lock screen notifications. Nothing else. It has just disappeared. Anyone else solve this or befuddled as well?

Galaxy S21@faqman You have to enable categories. Do this:
- Open phone settings
- Click on Notifications
- Click on Advanced settings
- Enable the option "Manage notification categories for each app"

Galaxy S21Thanks. I was able to finally nail it down. Even with forwarding off, you need to unlink the phone from Google Voice. The warning will appear about making phone calls using your google voice number (which is linked to the phone.) But you have to unlink it and then the number rings. I'm not sure if it means you can only make calls over wifi or GV will ultimately realize to use Internet data on your mobile phone to make calls as an option.
