Hey guys, I have an S9+ n after my bank app stopped working because my phones software wasn't updated since 2020 I decided y not just update it.  Well right after the update my phone says "No SIM card" & its laggy, no more calls/texts/data n I'm in a panic because I need my phone to work like we all do, Flight Mode button also looks like it's on but it's not I can still use my wifi but it wont initiate, the battery dies so fast now too.

Also 'Samsung account' notification keeps popping up saying "To continue using services securely, sign in again"  I've never seen this notification ever pop up previously n theres always an error when I try to login to stop the notification from popping up Constantly if i swipe it away, but I was able to login on this site to post this.

I've tried restarting my phone, I tried shutting off the phone and leaving it for a bit then turning it on, I let the battery die then charging, I tried network reset, I tried safe mode, nothing is working.  I didnt want to update my phone but I needed my bank app to pay my bills and now my phone is messed up from the new software, I'm hoping somebody out there was able to resolve this without a factory reset.

PLEASE help me

You haven't updated your phone since 2020 and then decided to do an update and now your phone doesn't work.  Probably something in the update is not compatible with your older hardware. I think it's time you just bought a new phone.  Your current phone should work well enough to transfer data to any new phone.

Thanks but that's not a solution, my phone was working perfectly fine before the update half bricked it

It is a solution, just one you don't like. It bricked because you haven't kept up with the updates and it's an old phone. You need a phone to do your work, the solution is to get a new one that's up to date, or factory reset your phone and try again.

Factory reset doesn't downgrade the software which is what caused the problem.  Thanks for ur input tho

A factory reset may fix whatever tangled up the update... Or it may not. It is possible your phone is just not capable of handling the update. You have 3 options here: put in an error report and hope for a solution (and you will probably be told to reset), reset your phone, buy a new phone. Likely this could have been avoided if you kept up with interim updates.

Even if I kept up with updates this was bound to happen, older models cant handle the new software, wish I looked it up bfore I updated but it's too late now, if I was able to downgrade the software then cool but that's not a possibility

FYI for the future, once your bank apps stop working, it's time for a new phone.  Yes, new phones are expensive, but you do not have to go for the S series phones.  The A series are fine phones (except for the lowest #, as it's basic) for at least half the price.  With Black Friday coming up, you can probably wander into a good sale.  If you don't use all the features of the S series, and/or don't want the new AI features, you will do well with an A model, and it will be good for at least the next 5 years, just like the S series.  I advise you to read all specs carefully, to make sure anything you choose has the memory/storage/features you want.

I appreciate the info, I'll definitely look up specs beforehand

Sometimes
updated software might change the
way a device interacts with the
network, and older models may not
adapt as well, leading to issues with
SIM detection or connection
