Galaxy S Phones

I've checked what feels like everywhere and tried everything I came across yet nothing works. Hoping someone has the magic fix here.

My Galaxy S9 just randomly shut off last week in the middle of watching YouTube. Battery wasn't previously low enough to shut down. Afterwards I plugged it in but nothing happened. Wouldn't register it was charging.  A bit later, it started to show  it was charging/charged but will not turn on past the logo screen. I've tried all the key combos posted for booting  recovery and safe mode. Only download mode appears.

I have so much **bleep** on this phone it's driving me looney not being able to turn it on.

Advice? Solutions? Magic phrase? All is appreciated. Thanks!

Sometimes phones just die. Whether it's a bad battery or a failed component cannot be known without an evaluation. Find a repair shop and have that evaluation. Since it's an S9, I'd wager the phone is toast.

Sounds like a failed battery. These batteries are smart once they degrade below a certain threshold they don't even power on. Being a S9 I'm sure it's due for a battery replacement. Worst case externally power the phone then extract the info via ADB or terminal

When I had my s9, that's exactly what happened and I can't remember if the techs said the motherboard just gave up or not cuz it was still active but I had to trade up bcuz of that. The repair was half the cost of the phone at the time and it's been a few years. I'd trade or get a new one if it's the same issue.

I think the issue of most concern to the OP is the loss of all their stuff if the phone is dead, not on upgrading. That's the unfortunate thing when one does not make periodic backups of important stuff, especially with an older device.

True. Wondering if OP tried hooking it up to a PC to see if he can access his stuff or not šŸ¤”
