How to remove names in the frequently contacted section?

Can anyone explain why I can't delete names under the frequently contacted section in my contacts. I use to be able to REMOVE the names but that button is gone. The only way to remove those names is to delete the contact altogether.  Please provide guidance. Thank you in advance.

here is how you turn off the Frequently Contacted:
1. Go to Main Settings Wheel
2. Scroll down to Apps (click)
3. Scroll down to Contacts
3a. Click settings wheel on
the right side of the
Contacts (Contacts
Settings)
4. Scroll down and click:
Show Frequently Contacted.
Swipe left or right.
