S20 FE restarted, icons disappeared

I woke to find my S20 FE had restarted and installed app icons have disappeared from home screen. How do I recover icons?

Some of My icons within folders on my home screen for my s20+ are now blank. I tried restarting and repairing apps and still have the same issue.

There was an update available. I updated phone and icons were recovered. I also updated Google Messages.
