Galaxy S PhonesYes it's old, but my wife is used to it and would like to keep it. (She doesn't like smartphones in general and has gotten used to this one.)
It won't dial out, even to my phone in the same house. It shows bars before dialing. Then the bars go away and it says out of network. If I call it from my phone it doesn't ring but goes to voicemail. Texting is fine.
Is there a fix, or is it dead?
Thanks

Galaxy S Phones@JnoS It is probably related to carriers ending 3G service. Although that phone is capable of 4G your carrier might not support that band. This is something that you need to discuss with your carrier.

Galaxy S PhonesLongHiker, thanks for this. I will contact the provider to see what they say. Honestly, I don't understand why a 4G phone won't work just because 3G systems are no longer working. Any explanation would be helpful?
