Galaxy S PhonesPhone: S7 aka G930A
Carrier: AT&T
O/S: Android 8.0.0
Samsung Messages app: 5.0.51.71
This past week my message recipients have said that all unicode characters from me are being replaced with question marks while the plain text portion is received correctly. This is true for multiple phone types across different carriers so appears to be specific to my phone. The messages appear correct in the UI on my end and I can receive unicode FROM them. Unicode support has worked for years and AFAIK the app hasn't changed during that time. Tried rebooting phone, clearing the app data, and toggling Advanced Messaging Off and On. No change.
Requested Escalation of the issue with AT&T and am on a waiting list to hear back from them...
TIA

Galaxy S Phones@userhZ0bUCqIfm I'm sure that you are aware that is a 9 year old phone. There is no software or app updates available for a device that old. I think your only hope is if AT&T surprises you with a solution.

Galaxy S PhonesAnd yet AT&T bills me every month as if nothing has changed. Hmm... I remember when I was nine I wasn't considered as old by any measure. Old is just a corporate way of saying that they have no interest in providing you the service that you're paying for.
