Ok Samsung what's the deal with Samsung Messages? You just updated to RCS and now delete OTP. Are you sticking with it or not?

I would say so I think they actually heard and listened to us saying we want it and if they were going to get rid of it they wouldn't be updating it and adding features I'm glad because I love Samsung Messages I hate most Google Apps

the Samsung Rep that came by our store said that they initially removed it because they weren't able to get it to support RCS, so they stopped working on updates and removed it from being a defaulted app. However, it's still in the Galaxy Store & I am personally using it myself because it's way cleaner than Google's messages app. I don't need the "RCS" capabilities..

Well the rep lied to you, Samaung messages does support RCS, it's up to the carrier if they want to work with Google or not and enable it.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. I personally don't work for Samsung. It was one of the questions I brought up to him specifically because that was one of my deciding factors on purchasing my s25 ultra. As previous S-series had Samsung Messages pre-installed, the s25 series don't. It can still be downloaded and utilized.

Anyone who's still using UI 6 may still be able to utilize RCS capabilities but once you have updated to UI 7, that's a wrap. I'm currently on UI 7 so the RCS features aren't a thing. Samsung Messages are just... Samsung Messages. 1739376899063.jpg

Very good captain obvious. Nobody even said UI7 anywhere in this whole thread.

And Google messages is far superior over samsung any day of the week.
