Hello,

I have a Samsung S20fe 5g from AT&T.  I am unable to see number of unread messages and no choice to select "number" under notification section of app.  The app used to show a number in a little red circle at the top of the app icon on the homescreen of my phone.  I do hear the notification sound, but if I don't hear the notification I never know I have new messages.  The only choices I have to select in the app's notication setting is "Allow Notifications"  (set to yes),  "Alerts" (set to allow sound and vibration), Notification Types - this is the problem I think - the only choice available is "Pop-up allowed", there is no choice to show the number of messages.

Help Please,

Thanks

Karen M.

PERFECT SOLUTION!!!!!!!  How did that get changed?  Was it from the latest update?  I don't think I changed it because I didn't even know about that setting.

Thank you so much!!!!!!  I was ready to buy a new phone, but I love this phone and prefer not to spend money if I don't have to.

You're Very Welcome!!! 🙂

Things can change with software updates. I had a problem with Gmail turning off pop-up messages after every update. 🤨

Finally its fixed now.
