Ive had my s20 5G ultra 7 months now and I have never owned such a sensitive structured device. The back glass shattered 2 months after getting it while being in a phone case..i woke up the other morning with the top of my phones front screen shattered like a spreading disease. Its only a matter of time before im back to square one so what would you do to protect anything precious on the device or back up your data in case you face something similar? i refuse to pay 300$ for a new screen as thats pretty much the price of the device itself. my galaxy s6 had endured **bleep** and still works better after 9 years. Also My screen is protected by that hydrogel which failed.

Connect a flash drive to your phone, use smart switch to back up your phone. If something happens, you will have that to transfer to a new device. S20 is a few years old and discontinued. Did you buy it used? If you did, you never know what the former owner subjected it to and you are blaming Samsung. If you don't want to replace the screen and are looking for a phone in the $300 price range, try an A series phone. You can get one new for that price.

Hydrogel does literally nothing to protect your screen from damage beyond minor scuffs. If the crack is spreading, it's probably a 3rd party replacement as the s21 uses corning victus glass, which typically doesn't see major spiderwebbing or after the fact cracking because of the composition of the glass. I would just trade it in for something made in the last year or two, preferably not a used model.
