Restricted Mode is an optional setting that you can use on the YouTube app. This feature can help screen out potentially mature content you or others using your device may prefer not to see.
To turn off Restricted Mode:
Log into your YouTube account
In the top right corner, tap your profile photo
Tap Settings and then General
Turn off Restricted Mode
Please Note:
If your Google Account is connected to a Family Link, you can not turn off Restricted Mode without the Account Supervisor turning the setting off.
On my phone. I feel like it's in the settings somewhere because Google (I think) pops up a message when I'm watching YouTube and the message says something like....You aren't able to watch this video while your phone is in restricted mode. I searched for anything that says "restricted mode" in the settings. But so far haven't found it.
