Android Auto keeps disconnecting

Android Auto keeps disconnecting and sometimes won't connect at all unless I restart my phone every single time

Can't connect new A256U to my 14 Kia android auto. Will only work with old A03s phone obsolete.

I have recently been experiencing the same problem after years of Android Auto working consistently with my S21. I have had the current vehicle for three months and it worked fine for the first 2.5 months. I replaced the USB cable with no improvement. This could be related to the One UI 6.1 update my phone received just before the issue started.
