Google Photos & Phone Gallery

Does anyone know if I can have my gallery and Google account set up so that when I delete I picture from my phone that corresponding picture in Google photos is deleted at the same time?

I just went through deleting pictures from years ago I had already deleted from my phone.

Since Google is the backup, you have to remove the photo from Google. Any photo you delete in the gallery remains in Google as a backup. Any photo you delete from Google will also remove it from your device. So, if you no longer want a photo, you should go to Google photos and delete from there.

I only have certain albums of my Samsung gallery that get backed up into Google photos. If I ever do delete anything out of those albums, I always get a pop-up to remind me to delete them out of Google photos too. Did you get this type of notification?
