There are two possible reasons for thiss. Either Short Code messages are not enabled by your carrier or Short Code Messages are not configured on your phone.
Since you're not even receiving the message, I'd first call my carrier and ask them to provision for Short Code messages for my line.
Next, I'd go to Settings and configure it.
Settings->Apps->3Dot Menu->Special Access->Use Premium Text Messaging Services->Select the app
