Samsun has got rid of RCS

I cannot believe that Samsung has gotten rid of RCS

And wants us to go to the Google Messenger again. 

Who else is worried about unencrypted text messages.

It's not that I sent anything naughty, it's about stuff we talked about which is personal, and now that stuff is not even security anymore. 

Shame on Samsung.

RCS in Samsung messages is carrier dependent, with samsung messages slowly being discontinued, carriers are pulling the RCS functionality from the app. Samsung messages is still functional without RCS. If you wish to have the RCS option, you will have to use the google messages app.

I have a S21+ and RCS says it failed in samsung messages and on my old S9 it worked fine, please help

I think it's carrier depending rcs support for messages

Im still using us cellular like I did on my S9, and rcs works on there but not on my S21 plus

Kinda strange area with Samsung messages some say rcs works but many don't see it I could be wrong but I think it's in advanced settings to check

All of a sudden when I send messages especially to my family who all have samsung phones it doesn't show "read" anymore. What could be issue and what could be issue? TIA!

Open messaging app. On mine, 3 dots upper right, click, settings at bottom, click, down about middle says More settings, click, at top Text messages, click, see Show when delivered move slider.

Remember, they can set so you can't tell even when you enabled

On mine it only shows input mode (GSM mode), SIM card messages, and message center (with a like phone number)
