Galaxy S22Hello, We understand how frustrating it is to have the screen go dim when you are trying to use the phone. There are several options to try to correct this behavior.
1. Try the steps in this article. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00087643/ Under the steps for Keeping the screen on while viewing, also toggle the option Double tap to turn on screen to the On position.
2. Under Settings> Display > Eye Comfort Shield > If this shows the setting is Adaptive, toggle this setting off.
3. Test the phone in Safe Mode to determine if there is a 3rd-party app dimming the screen. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
If the screen continues to dim, it is recommended to have the phone evaluated at an authorized service center. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the evaluation: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location
For service outside of the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html
