Can anyone explain this for Verizon update for S22 series only!

It seems Samsung's update for the S22 series with UI 6.1 on the Verizon network received the ability to toggle off 5G, it is the only series that will get this feature so far. Not the 21, 23, or 24.

Edit, S23 series got it in last month

Is there a logical reason for this?

Same on Verizon S22 Ultra, toggle 5G option not present after 6.1 update.

I am using an S23 from AT&T I used to be able to toggle it. As my phone provider told me "your using a grandpa version" lol. Meaning that I no longer have 5G compatibility unless I'm in very certain areas, like airports. Then it says 5G LTE with a lightening bolt! Lol. Otherwise it doesn't even say 4G for me, unless I turn off wifi. I just did for picture sake.

I have the s22 ultra but I have AT&T and my phone just now finished doing the update and gave me the 6.1 and a new camera version. Can't wait to see what's in store. I can only hope it's for the better.
