Can anyone explain what the 2 settings do in advanced settings in the message app?

Does anyone know what these 2 settings are for or do ? They are in the advanced settings in the message app . Can't figure out what they do when they are toggled on and off . Any help is appreciated,  thanks

The google messages simple character is for any hidden or special characters are converted to normal characters to ensure that the maximum number of characters will fit into your SMS. This not only prevents scrambled messages, the other feature for the iPhone converters a reaction from Apple's I messages to an emoji so that you can chat with iPhone users more easily, I recommend that you turn on those options
