Charging the battery stops at 84%

My phone will only charge to 84%.

Try allowing the device to go to 0%, then try charging without turning it back on.

In the battery settings make sure you don't have the Protect Battery option on. By default, it limits the charging to 85%

Go to settings menu ..battery and device care..... battery..then more battery settings. At the very bottom you will see Protect battery, make sure it is not turned on as it will only allow battery to be charged to 85%
