Gmail widget shows "No messages in inbox"

When I go to the screen that shows my Gmail widget, it shows the message "No messages in inbox" after the December 2024 update. When i click the widget, it shows many messages in my inbox. I have restarted my phone and I have also tried removing and putting the widget back. Can you help? Thanks!

Maybe clearing the "Gmail app" cache would help.
Hard press on the Gmail app > tap The "I" (info) > storage > clear cache
