Group text notification feature gone

It used to be possible to change or mute notifications for a group or mass text. That was a handy feature. How can I do that?

Hey there! I can absolutely understand wanting to be able to mute mass group messages! 

You can do that by opening the Messages app
Tap the group chat that you want to mute
Look for the group chat settings or options within the chat. It's usually represented by three dots or a gear icon
Check if there's an option to mute or silence the chat.
