Awful update of one UI 6. Recently upgraded my s22 ultra to one UI 6 and I really wanna go back. Last time I wrote about the issues in the gallery app, video player in gallery app, and notification panel. After discovering more things about new update is that now I can't play my audio in 2 different Bluetooth speakers at once using media control. I also can't switch back and forth the audio from Bluetooth speaker to my phone speaker and to achieve this I either need to disconnect the speaker or turn off the Bluetooth. This is getting absurd, day by day. These are all my daily activities in life and samsung have completely messed things around and there is no going back. Very poor update from samsung especially at the time of Christmas and season of music. The developers of this  upgrade have arbitrarily made changes without thinking about the users.

I swear this whole new update is already driving me insane. First with the whole new drop down menu changing everything. But the emojis are just so awful. I wouldn't mind everything else getting updated but these emojis are legit giving into to the whole "android" memes. They look so outdated and ugly. Update everything else for all I care, just give me back the old emojis please!

Samsung,

I write you to urge you in embracing your originality.

My S22 Phone was updated yesterday with One UI6. I was immediately surprised to see many aesthetic changes made, superceding my own customization choices. The first noticed was the font styling changes, then the oddly ballooned icon sizes which do not add anything to the overall experience. These changes are irritating as I did not choose them - however I will let them slide.

What is making me write my discontentment to you is the complete removal of your original emoticons/emojis.

Your original emojis had an incredibly enjoyable emotivity and look to them, which I often touted positively to my iphone-carrying friends. They were fun, yet classy. Sleek, yet detailed. There was a lot to love.

The updated emoji collection is drab. It is essentially tragic that you fine folks at Samsung would feel the need to sacrifice originality to succumb to the status quo. Because we all know very well that this update is to mimic the apple emoji collection. What you need to understand is that Samsung phone users choose you because of how -different- you are from them.

We choose you for your original choices in design and experience.

I believe that Android users also choose this avenue for the customization possibilities - why not let us choose

I hope that you can pivot and allow us to regain our expression of choice. Regain our satisfaction in the choice we make with defining our own experience, by choosing you.

Your original emojis from UI 5 and prior were the best. So much cooler  than google's or apples, by far.

Bring them back.

Thank you for continuing to make great things.

I've been on this update for a few weeks now and have no problems with it so far. I keep reading all the trash talk about Samsung and the update and all the conspiracy theories this was done on purpose and my question to everyone is. WHAT WOULD THEY GAIN? If this was purposely done they would loose customers not gain them.
No one seems to realize the update has to be sent to every carrier before being uploaded to our phones, and each carrier adds there on bloatware and BS to the update before this process happens. I've read on here tonight that Google play is stuck and won't update, but yet they take the carrier sim card out and do a factory reset and it updates, but put the carrier sim card back in and factory reset again and it's stuck back on the older update. More than likely most of the issues with the UI 6.0 are carrier related due to not enough testing after carriers added there bloatware to the update that they uploaded and it's creating all kinds of issues.
And No, I do not work for Samsung but have dealt with technology long enough to realize there has to be more issues going on with updates like this than meets the eye especially when carriers get a hold of them before we do.

But why can't Samsung just do like Google does with the pixel. Updates are directly from Google and the carrier is bypassed. So why can't Samsung do the same.

Because the carriers have to allow it. So far they have only allowed this for Apple and Google

It would make sense though. Carrier updates don't really do much, other than they add their own bloatware. Carriers don't add anything useful during updates.
