What file do I want to play music on my S22? I transferred all music from my S20 and now nothing plays.

Yes. Samsung phones no longer play WMA files to save space.

Old news. Like five years ago they announced it.

I meant more that when I'm at the store buying my new phone and planning on transferring music files from the S9 they might have said. But thanks. Super helpful and also kind.

Yeah, I appreciate that, but it's hard for a sales rep to anticipate everything that a buyer might want to do with their smartphone to enable them to do all the things they wish to do with it; therefore, it's often left to the consumer to do the research before making the purchase. A quick look at the phone's specs would have told you the music files that the phone supports, or doesn't.

Now, if you asked them upfront about it and they lied, then I'd be pretty upset myself.

At higher bit rates they are smaller.

"For example, at 192 Kbit/s, a WMA file is 10.4MB, while an MP3 file is 7.2MB."
