Selecting individual contacts from groups

My phone just updated and a feature that I use all the time for work is gone.

I used to be able to long press a contact in a group and select multiple contacts to message. 

Now the only option at the bottom is delete.

Any chance this feature is disabled by a setting I'm not seeing?

Select the group and then select "Send Message". It will load all the contacts in that group, just remove or add contacts.
